CG at Food For Thoughts...

NG12A3 had our CG at this place called Food For Thought. Had our discussion of our decision made on 2007 and some sharing on 2008.. Indeed it is true tat every decision we made is going to cause a ripple in our life or the life of people around us..

All thanks to Weilin for intro-ing this place..

Not a bad place but just that the menue was rather deceiving..

Rehema Home

Firstly, let's thank Xinhua for updating us on the Rehema Home..

Rehema Home is an orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya that provides for Kenyan's abandoned, orphaned and HIV+ childen till they reach 18yrs old... Below video shows Kenyan's abandoned and orphaned..

So after seeing this video, we realise how fortunate we are.. They have no choice of borning as a HIV positive baby.. So whoever who wants to make a donation or offering to them can actually approach Xin hua..

CG @ FMC on the 2 Nov 07'

Finally.. I have uploaded the photos of our unit CG on the 2 Nov 07' @ FMC.

Alrights CG on the 2 Nov was a great one! Inspiring, ministering and fellowshipy..

Let's go back to see that day highlights!

Firstly we spotted Korean actor, " Pei Yong Jun" in our CG.

Weilin sharing on her blessing.. But i seem to have distract her.. "Continue please.."

Everyone seem to be concentrating...

Except JQ.. " What are you doing?"

Then Chiew Fang gave out these fishes...

These are XMM and my fishes.. " 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, once i caught a fish alive.. 6, 7..."

XH sharing with us on kids in Nirobi... Kool! heard that XH did the slides until 2am in the morning....

After that we gather to pray as a unit but the auntie knock on the door and hint us that the time is up...

Ultimately i think everyone learnt something some how or another.. Let's continue to bless one another!!!

my Thanksgiving

I wanna share my testimony... After working for 2years, i know that i need to have a career switch. Something That what God wants me to get involved in...

I never thought of applying for the position from an non-profit organization, until God spoke to me through a magazine...

2 weeks ago, I'm came across this article which talks about a young woman who give up her high paying job in a organization to a non-profit organization. I'm inspired by her story..

I browsed and search through the website, and found this organization-World vision...
They are dedicated to work with children,families, communities worldwide to reach their full potential to tackle the issue of poverty and injustice.

I submitted my resume around 1 am...
I can't sleep at all...

The next morning, no one called me...
Physically, I am very tired...
God prompts me to take a nap... Of course, I'm more than willing to obey.
After 2hours, i received a phone call. Guess what?
They called me for an interview...
I went for the interview, but it seems that I messed it up...
When i reached home, i pray and ask God, why?
To my surprise,
He asks me to stop sending resumes.
I'm confused...
What?
Stop sending resumes...
You must be kidding...

But, there's a still ,soft voice telling me,
"Stop sending resume and trust me."

hmm...
I'm annoyed...
I wonder if the voice is from God or satan...

I ask myself this question," Do i have peace?"

Yes.. I have peace...

Only God can provide peace, so trust him..."

Hmm...

The whole process took about one week...
Everyday, I seek and hear from God...
This is the verse that God encourages me :

"so is my word that goes out from my mouth
it will not return to me empty
But will accomplish what i desire
and achieve the purpose for which i send it."

Isaiah 55:11

I have to give up a few high paying jobs, because I want to trust His will.
I have to get prepared to face the pressure from my other friends...

I just received a phone call from them...
I'm going to start work on Thursday!
There's so much joy within me...

A new beginning arises...

Really wanna thank God for His providence and guidance...
His faithfulness never fails..
Thank You for all of your prayers...

I just want to encourage you that if you are seeking God for a career switch or making some decisions in your life, trust God. And not to forget, count the cost before you commit to it...

May His peace and joy be with you...
